Reading Question Cards

  • You don’t need to ask all the questions on the cards, just choose 1 or two from ‘Before Reading’, ‘During Reading’, and ‘After Reading’.
  • You can also use the questions to talk to your child about a book you read to them, or a book that they are reading to themselves.
  • If English is not the child’s first language, let them answer the questions and do their thinking in their first language after they have read in English. This will still help them with their reading.
  • Keep the session enjoyable.
