Update for Tuesday, 21 September

Tēnā koutou katoa,

With Auckland dropping to Alert Level 3 from tomorrow, we’d like to remind you that schools, for the most part, do remain closed under Alert Level 3, except for those students who have no alternative care option at home.

Our online Distance Learning from home programme continues for all our students.

If you require your child to come to school you must register them today.  We will not be able to accept walk-ins who have not registered.  A lot of work has gone in to ensure we have the right amount of staff on site for those who have registered

To check if your child is able to come to school, read through our step by step flowchart and then continue on to register.  Please click HERE for the flow chart and to register

In response to the Ministry of Education (MOE) hearing that some parents and whānau are feeling anxious about their children’s behaviour and routine changes through alert level changes and extended alert level restrictions, they have responded by asking Dr Hinemoa Elder (child adolescent psychiatrist) and Nathan Wallis (neuroscience educator) for some tips and advice.

In this video the MOE have made, they describe what parents can do if they have concerns.

If parents are still concerned their tamariki aren’t coping, please remember to reach out and talk with a health professional. There’s lot of support, information and help available.

A note on Health Status Privacy:

As an organisation we support the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education approach to combating COVID. I would like to impress upon all members of the community that the vaccine status of our staff and of one another is private. We have no right to ask or expect information about other people’s health status. This includes any staff member or household in our community.

Stay well, stay safe and be kind.
