Update for Monday, 15 November

Kia ora koutou and welcome to week 5 of Term 4;  the first week when all our students can come to school for some of the week.  You would have received an email from us on Friday 12th November outlining the classroom Roster that your child/ren are in (siblings come on the same day) and we are very much looking forward to seeing them all back onsite.

Students can only attend school on their allocated days and at the specific times as per the email sent to you.

Much work has gone into the planning for this safe return and over the weekend all staff have been having their COVID tests completed so they can return to site and be with your child/ren later in the week.

A summary of the Health and Safety Plan can be found HERE

All our staff onsite comply with the vaccine mandate, as do all contractors and other visitors as required.

All staff and students now must wear a mask (unless exempt).

Parents and caregivers must stay off school grounds where possible, but if any parents do need to come onsite for any reason, you must wear a mask and you must sign in with our COVID tracer app.

Today our teachers have been holding their usual google meets and online lessons with their students.  From tomorrow (Tuesday) onwards, there will be no further online ‘Meets’ with the teachers.  On Tuesday all our staff will be setting up and preparing their classrooms for the return of our students and then from Wednesday onwards, our teachers will be based onsite at school with face to face learning.

If your child will be coming back onsite for their schooling, please remember that students must bring

  • their own water bottle (preferably named),
  • morning tea and lunch.  There will be No EzLunch operating.
  • their own device
  • pens
  • It is highly advised for your child to bring a sunhat and sunscreen, as well as their uniform sweatshirt/ jacket as we will be aiming to hold some lessons outside where possible.

If your child does not need a phone, please do not bring it to school.  For any students who do bring a phone, they must hand it to their teacher at the start of the day and the teacher will hold them securely throughout the day.

Your child is allowed to wear their correct PE uniform to and from school on their PE allocated day as we will not be sending our students to get changed throughout the day.

If you have any questions please contact the school office. Ph 09 620 8508 or

Our MuST movement has continued strong last week with over 20 more winners receiving mini MuST prizes!!  These prizes were dropped into the winners letterboxes over the weekend.  All of these winners also have their names in the draw for the major prize at the end.   Students can continue to keep working on the specified requirements to achieve being included into the weekly prize draws as well as being in the Major Prize draw.
