Update for Monday, 29 November

Kia Ora Koutou and welcome to week 7 of Term 4.

As you will be aware, NZ moves to the COVID-19 Protection Framework (CPF), also known as the Traffic Light System, later this week.  Tāmaki Makaurau has been confirmed as moving into Red and this will come into effect on Thursday 2nd December at 11.59pm.

The Ministry of Education has advised schools that “Those of you in Auckland will retain your current public health measures and other requirements that are in place at Alert Level 3, Step 2 for the remainder of the year”

This means, for the remainder of this year, Mt Roskill Intermediate will continue with our ‘Roster’ system.  Students in Roster A will continue to attend school on Mondays and Wednesdays and students in Roster B will continue to attend school on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Registered Bubble school students will continue to attend every day.
Teachers will continue to set work for students to work on from home.

This Friday we will be holding our Award Ceremonies for our Year 7 and Year 8 award recipients.  Emails will be going out today to those students and their parents advising them that they will be an award recipient.  This email will provide the details on when and how we will be doing this, whilst adhering to Ministry of Education and Ministry of Health health and safety guidelines.
This year’s award ceremonies will look very different from how we have run them previously, but we are very much looking forward to celebrating and acknowledging these special students on Friday.
